Delivered by SayPro Chief Officer, Ms. Patricia Tsebe
Date: 18 July 2025
Theme: “67 Minutes of Service, A Lifetime of Change”
Good day, SayPro family, esteemed guests, community leaders, and fellow South Africans,
It is with heartfelt pride and purpose that I stand before you today on this extraordinary occasion—Mandela Day 2025. A day where we pause, not to mourn what was lost, but to celebrate what lives on through us: the legacy of Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela.
As the Chief Officer of SayPro, I have the honor of working every day with people and communities who believe in change, who live for service, and who are committed to building a better world—brick by brick, act by act.
Mandela Day is not just about commemorating history. It is about creating it.
It is a call to every citizen—not to be a spectator in the journey of transformation, but to be a builder, a doer, a giver.
Madiba taught us that each of us has the power to make a difference. He spent 67 years fighting for justice and equality. In return, we give 67 minutes to serve, to uplift, and to carry forward his mission of unity and compassion.
Today, SayPro teams across Africa are not in offices. We are in communities—planting hope, feeding the hungry, mentoring the youth, restoring dignity in forgotten spaces, and empowering those whose voices are often unheard.
But our commitment does not end today.
At SayPro, we believe that every day is Mandela Day. That education, development, and service should never be limited to a moment but be sustained as a movement.
My message to you today is simple but powerful:
✅ Let your hands be tools of healing.
✅ Let your voice be one of justice.
✅ Let your presence be a gift to others.
✅ And let your 67 minutes today become a lifetime habit of leadership, kindness, and humanity.
To the young girl dreaming of change—you are the future Mandela envisioned.
To the healthcare worker, the teacher, the volunteer—your actions are the legacy.
To our SayPro teams and partners—thank you for walking this path with courage and humility.
Let us not celebrate Mandela Day. Let us live it.
Together, we rise. Together, we serve. Together, we build the Africa that Madiba dreamed of.
Happy Mandela Day 2025. May your service be your legacy.
