Good day to all our distinguished guests, SayPro leadership, healthcare professionals, community members, and most importantly—our extraordinary nurses.
I greet you today with immense pride and gratitude as the Deputy Treasurer of the SayPro Royal Committee, on this powerful and meaningful occasion: National Nurses Day 2025.
This is not just a day of celebration—it is a day of reflection and recognition. It is a day to honor those whose work cannot be measured in numbers alone, but whose value is beyond price: our nurses.
As someone responsible for ensuring that resources are well-managed and purposefully directed, I can tell you this—no investment is more impactful than the investment we make in nurses. They are the true wealth of our healthcare system. They are the hands that heal, the voices that comfort, and the strength behind every recovery.
In every corner of our continent, especially in rural and underserved communities, nurses serve tirelessly—often with limited resources but unlimited compassion. At SayPro, through our Centre for Medical Resources (CMR), we witness firsthand how nurses are not only health professionals, but community leaders, mentors, and beacons of hope.
As the Royal Committee, we remain committed to ensuring that financial and community resources are allocated to uplift and support nurses, because we believe that when nurses are empowered, entire communities thrive.
Nurses carry more than stethoscopes—they carry the hopes and health of nations. And as custodians of resources, we must ensure that they have what they need to succeed.
To every nurse across Africa and within the SayPro network: you are our frontline heroes and the beating heart of healthcare. Thank you for your tireless dedication, your unmatched resilience, and your endless compassion.
