Good morning, colleagues, partners, healthcare champions, and most importantly—our dedicated nurses.
On this National Nurses Day 2025, I speak to you as SayPro’s Chief Research Officer with immense pride and even deeper admiration. While my role centers on data, evidence, and scientific inquiry, today I want to talk not only about the facts we uncover—but the people who bring them to life. You. Our nurses.
Through SayPro’s Centre for Medical Resources (CMR), we conduct research that spans everything from disease prevention to healthcare systems improvement. But behind every successful study, every breakthrough, and every health impact assessment, stands the consistent presence and tireless commitment of nurses.
Our research shows it time and again: nurses are not only caregivers—they are change agents, knowledge producers, and frontline researchers in their own right.
You are the ones collecting real-time patient data, observing emerging health trends, managing care processes, and applying best practices long before they are published in journals. You are, in many ways, the bridge between theory and practice.
That is why, in 2025, we at SayPro are placing nurses at the center of our research and innovation strategy with the following commitments:
- The SayPro Nurse-Led Research Fund, supporting nurse-initiated studies and community health pilot projects
- Greater inclusion of nurses in research ethics boards, advisory panels, and scientific publications
- Expansion of training and mentorship programmes to build research skills in nursing professionals
- Ongoing evaluation of nursing impact through a new “Care Innovation Index”, designed to quantify the role nurses play in transforming care systems
Our mission is not just to study healthcare—it is to shape it, and that cannot be done without you. Nurses are the first to notice when something works—or doesn’t. Your lived experience and professional insight are critical to shaping better evidence, better interventions, and better futures.
To all nurses: your practice is evidence. Your voice is insight. Your compassion is science in motion.
