Delivered by SayPro Royal Committee [Jane Ndlovu]
Good [morning/afternoon/evening], everyone,
It’s a pleasure to stand before you today as we celebrate a very special occasion — Father’s Day. This is a day dedicated to the men who have guided us, protected us, supported us, and loved us — our fathers and father figures.
Fathers are often the silent strength in our lives. They are the ones who work quietly behind the scenes, making sacrifices we don’t always see. They are the ones who teach us life lessons, not just through words, but through the way they live — with hard work, honesty, responsibility, and love.
Whether it was teaching us how to ride a bike, driving us to school, offering advice we didn’t always want to hear, or simply being there when it mattered most — fathers leave a lasting imprint on who we are and who we become.
Let us also recognize that fatherhood comes in many forms. It’s not just about biology. It’s about being present, about showing up — in small moments and big ones. It’s about being a role model, a protector, a listener, and sometimes, just a comforting presence when words fall short.
To all the dads — and to the father figures, grandfathers, uncles, stepdads, mentors, and guardians — we thank you. Today is a tribute to your strength, your sacrifices, your love, and the positive impact you make in the world every day.
We may not always say it enough, but we hope you feel it — today and always: You are appreciated. You are loved. And you make a difference.
Happy Father’s Day.
Thank you.
